Little Miss H’s favourite things – 14 months

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

I can’t quite believe it but Little Miss is now 14 months old. It is a cliche, but I really don’t know where the time has gone.
Here are some of her favourite things from the past month:

Soft toys – Little Miss seems to have become besotted with her little furry friends this month. If she sees one of them her face lights up. It is the cutest thing. Her favourites are still Maxi the Monkey, Rosie the Bunny, Lenny the Lion and Montgomery the Tiger.

I was trying to take a picture of Maxi and Mr Drum. Little Miss decided to photo bomb and give Maxi a kiss. So cute!

Sainsbury’s Grow and Play Mr Drum – We bought this for her first birthday and she loves it. She spends hours playing with the different musical instruments and bopping away to the tunes. She has definitely inherited her daddy’s musical genes.

Fruit – she can eat her entire body weight in fruit. Her favourites are blueberries and grapes. Recently our unique child has developed a taste for beetroot and broad beans.

Toddler Sense – Little Miss graduated from her Baby Sensory classes at the end of May. (I actually found this quite an emotional milestone. Sob sob!) We now go to weekly Toddler Sense classes. She was a little wary at first but now she loves them and happily plays on the equipment and gets involved in all the activities. I am sure that she’ll enjoy the sessions even more once she begins to walk on her own. She also adores Sarah, the leader, and would follow her anywhere.

Playing in the sun with her friends – Little Miss H has a lovely group of friends. They have all loved spending time together in the sunshine. The wonderful weather has meant we’ve been able to enjoy picnics, afternoons in the park or chilling in a friend’s garden and splashing in paddling pools. Some afternoons may have even involved rose wine spritzers for the mummies. It is a tough life!

Messy play – we’ve done a lot of fun messy play this month. Little Miss is still not sure about shaving foam. She did enjoy playing with spaghetti, painting in the bath, ice play and lots of water play.

Messy play – causing Mr H’s OCD all sorts of problems.
Daddy – there is no doubt about it. Little Miss H is a daddy’s girl. She adores him!!! The other day, she screamed “yes” when he came home from work and sat and starred at him goofily for 10 minutes.
Little Miss H is losing most of her baby-like qualities and is a real personality. She is cheeky but is completely gorgeous with it.  I love that:
  • She can now point out her head and nose. She does this with such a sweet expression and it always make her giggle.
  • She has discovered kisses and constantly wants to give and receive them.
  • After months of chanting “Dada” she is now saying “Mama”.
  • Little Miss is growing in independence and seems to be learning more everyday. It makes me so proud and emotional that my baby is growing up.

I can’t wait to see what her fifteenth month brings.

Hugs

Mrs H

So sweet!! Get the whole OCD with messy play too – and messy eating! Really valuable for their development, but the mess drives me crazy!!

Ha ha! I think I do more messy play and deliberately give Little Miss H messy food because it drives Mr H mad. I am such a cruel wife. Little Miss loves it though. She also thinks daddy’s reaction is hysterical. Hugs Mrs H xxxx

Hi Jenny. Thanks for popping by. I hope you’re enjoying your time in America. They do grow up so fast. I can’t believe how grown up Little Miss H is now. It makes my heart sing but also makes me yearn for the days when she was a new born and wanted endless snuggles. Hugs Mrs H xxxx

Hello. Thanks for visiting. Ice play is brilliant in this weather and Little Miss loves it. I have some ombre pink ice in the freezer at the moment. I think we will have a play with that next week. I don’t understand how little people can like beetroot so much. I love it but it is quite an acquired taste. Odd! Hugs Mrs H xxxx

Hello. Thanks so much for the comment. I agree it does feel like yesterday that it was her first session. I think she wasrou t only about 2 months old. She just lay there motionless. She has changed so much since then and it has been lovely to monitor her development through Baby Sensory and Toddler Sense. I’m hoping one day soon she will be able to grab her own rain sticks and tidy up afterwards too. Hugs Mrs H xxxx

Hi Maria. Thanks for coming to visit my blog and commenting. Little Miss H does love the drum set. I bought it on a whim as one last pressie for her birthday. But she loves it. I think she just likes to make a lot of noise. Hugs Mrs H xxxx
