It has been an especially busy week. I was Maid of Honour at my bff’s wedding and have been completely focused on that. It was a wonderful wedding. I am thrilled for my gorgeous friends and it was an honour to be involved.
Here are my #littleloves from the week that was:
I have read many articles on wedding websites about how to be an awesome Maid of Honour. I am a research geek and a perfectionist. I wanted to make sure that if there was an award for the best Maid of Honour in the world then I would win.
Also, the new Mr and Mrs S mean more to us than they will ever know. They are the most lovely and fun couple (I love them). I wanted to make sure that they had the happiest day of their lives.
Having said that I did manage to read this new post by Be a Mummy Blogger. I haven’t met Kerry in person but I think she is amazing. Her blog is hugely inspiring and informative and this post was her best yet. It refuelled my passion for blogging and made me want to make my blog bigger and better.
Mr H and I finally managed to finish watching the second season of Hemlock Grove on Netflix. I am glad that I plucked up the courage to watch it. (I was worried it would be too gory for me). I hope that Netflix commission a third series. I NEED to know what will happen to Peter and Roman.
I treated myself to a pair of Dune sparkly silver sandals for the wedding. I completely fell in love with these shoes when I saw them. They looked lovely with the dress and were actually pretty comfortable. They also gave me the added confidence that can only come from wearing a sexy pair of heels. This confidence was much needed as my dress had an Angelina Jolie-esque thigh length split.
The last song played at the wedding was Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody. Watching the last people standing singing along with great gusto will be one of my overriding memories from the weekend.
I have made lists and notes galore over the past week. The bride and groom had emailed us a copy of the wedding timeline. I could have printed it off. Not me!!! I need to write things down so that they stick in my mind. I wrote the timeline out by hand in my special wedding notebook. I was mocked by Mr H.
Little Miss H has done so much to make me proud this week.
– She was a beautiful flower girl. She toddled down the aisle holding my hand and looked so cute. She happily had her photo taken and didn’t eat her posey of freshias (I was worried).
– She spent 2 nights with Grandma and Grandpa and was as good as gold. She ate lots, had fun playing with her cousins and slept through each night.
– She is walking and standing on her own. She has the sweetest little waddle. The look of concentration on her face is priceless.
Have you had an amazing week too?
