Back at the beginning of June, I was invited to the launch of the fantastic Quantum. The new travel system designed by Diono.

The launch

I felt a mixture of nerves and excitement as I headed into London for the exclusive press party to celebrate the launch of the Quantum. I’d not been to this kind of event since my days at Cancer Research UK. So I really didn’t know what to expect.

Thankfully, I’d agreed to meet up with the gorgeous Hannah from Budding Smiles and The Lifestyle Log beforehand.  Hannah has been one of my best blogging buddies for a long time but we’d never actually met. But we started chatting straight away and barely stopped all evening.

I also got to meet the fabulous Al from The Dad Network (who I’d also never met even though he lives down the road) and the beautiful Kerry from Kerry Louise Norris.

It was lovely to chat to these wonderful bloggers who were like old friends. We got to talk shop over a cocktail and some canapés, listen to Sara Cox do a DJ set (she played Wham! – totally amazing) and also test drive the ingenious Quantum, the first travel system from Diono.

First impressions of the Diono Quantum

It is clear that parents were consulted when the Diono Quantum was designed. There are so many features that only a parent would know are what turns an adequate travel system into an A-MAZ-ING travel system.

At the launch, we were shown all the many and varied features of the Quantum by one of the designers. And I even got to test drive it on a multi-terrain runway.

Without doubt the cleverest feature of the Diono Quantum travel system is that the carrycot easily turns into an extra large toddler seat with just a few clicks. How brilliant is that?

If you’re a parent to two children then I’m sure this scenario will sound familiar.

You’re on a day out. The baby is in the carrycot of the travel system but your toddler starts whining. They don’t want to walk anymore. But you’re miles a way from the car. So your only solution is to cope with the tantrum that ensues.

However, the story is very different if you own the Diono Quantum travel system.

As soon as your toddler starts moaning then the baby can be placed in a wrap. In a minute, the carrycot can be transformed into a toddler seat. The toddler can happily have a rest in a comfy seat and you can carry on enjoying your family adventure. Tantrum avoided.

But that isn’t all. Because the Quantum also has many other great features:

1. A step on and step off centralised brake.

2. An extended sun canopy that totally shades your child when they are in both the carry cot and the toddler seat.

3. The biggest basket I have ever seen. That is easily accessible from the front and the back of the buggy.

The Diono Quantum travel system is fantastic. We’ve kindly been sent one for review. And we’re currently putting it through its paces on our family adventures. So I plan to write a more detailed review soon.

Hugs
