We’ve been working with the fabulous brand We Made Me since Little Mister H was first born. We’ve previously reviewed their stretchy wrap, the Wuti Wrap. And we’ve also been sent the Pao Papoose Carrier and Soohu Sling to test.

The Wuti Wrap was amazing and in the first few months after Little Mister H was born it was used during every dinner and bedtime. It was the only way that I managed to survive those croup filled evenings.

However, I wanted a more secure carrier once Little Mister H was older. And I also needed a carrier that would be quick and easy for the school run.

I really love wraps. But, even though, the Wuti Wrap is easy to tie, I’ve always been more of a Baby Carrier person. They are just so comfortable and simple to use.

The Pao Papoose 3 in 1 Front and Back Baby Carrier

I started to use the Pao Papoose Baby Carrier when Little Mister H was about six months. And it has become one of the best and most frequently used baby products that we own. Little Miss H even lovingly refers to it as the wrapper. (So cute!)

“Mummy, please can you put baby in the wrapper?”

I’m hopeless at time keeping. And I’m always running late for pre-school drop off or pick up. Luckily, we only have a 10 minute walk to Little Miss H’s school. But it’s up some very steep steps and it isn’t possible to use a buggy. Thanks to the Pao Papoose Carrier we’re ready and out the door in a matter of minutes.

As with all baby carriers and wraps, I had to practice using the Pao Papoose a few times. But it really is simple to put on.

The instructions, in the very cutely illustrated manual, are simple to follow. And We Made Me have also produced a number of fantastic instruction videos to help you master the different carrying positions.

You can wear your baby in the Pao Papoose in 3 different modes:

Bear necessities – parent-facing position

Doe-a-deer – world-facing position

Raccoon Ride – back-carry position

Little Mister H isn’t too keen on the doe-a-deer carry. But this is mainly because he often uses the carrier to have an extra snuggle and a snooze.

At the moment, we are practising the racoon ride carrying position. Which Little Mister H thinks is hysterical.

In the past, I’ve always struggled with back carries. But I find it easier to put Little Mister H on my back in the Pao Papoose.

Also the ergonomically designed Pao Papoose means that Little Mister H is safe and secure in each of the carrying positions. And his spine, hips and back are naturally supported in the correct sitting position.

On occasions I suffer from bad lower back pain, but I find the wide and padded waistband and shoulder straps of the Pao Papoose provide great support to both me and Little Mister H. I’ve worn Little Mister H in the carrier on long walks and I’ve never had a problem.

You can use the Pao Papoose from 4 months to 36 months. Which means at £89.99 this baby carrier is an absolute bargain. You can also purchase an infant insert so that the carrier can be used when you baby is a newborn.

Why we love the Pao Papoose Baby Carrier

As well as the above, there are a number of other reasons why the Pao Papoose is a fantastic baby carrier:

1. The fabric is beautifully soft.

2. The carrier has a handy hood which is perfect for sheltering your baby when they are snoozing.

3. There is a handy pocket on the inside of the carrier that features the instructions. This is really useful if you’re out and about and you want to move your baby from one position to another.

4. The Pao Papoose comes in a cute little pouch and a sturdy tube. We use our’s to house some puzzles and Little Miss H’s small dolls.

5. It’s compact when folded and fits perfectly in the bottom of our buggy so that I can easily put Little Mister H in the carrier when he is fussing.

If you’re looking for an ergonomically designed baby carrier then I can’t recommend the Pao Papoose enough. Barely a day goes by without me using it and I wouldn’t be without it.

Hugs

Lucy

Oooh I’m on the search for a new baby carrier so will definitely check out their website after all the positive feedback you’ve given this carrier. I suffer from back pain at times too so it’s good to know the Pao Papoose doesn’t aggravate yours.

Thank you for your lovely comment. It really is a great carrier. And no back pain. Which is brilliant as it often stops me baby wearing which makes me sad. Hugs Lucy xxxx
