One of our highlights of last summer was going to see In the Night Garden Live at its purpose-built Showdome in Blackheath. It was a wonderful show and we can’t wait to see it again this summer.

I have to admit, that I was unsure how the children would respond to seeing In the Night Garden Live. They both LOVE the TV show but Little Miss H is wary of seeing live performances.

I needn’t have worried. Both the children were completely mesmerised from the moment Derek Jacobi’s dulcet tones asked us to turn off our phones. They sat still throughout the whole show. And they genuinely loved it.

I was also surprised that I loved the show too. It’s beautifully produced and the use of puppetry, projections and music is genius.

The performance is held in a purpose-built Showdome. It has an auditorium that is specially designed so that you and your little ones can see the show perfectly. There is also a large buggy park, a shop selling healthy (and some non-healthy) snacks and brilliant baby change and toilet facilities.

In the Night Garden Live really is a perfect family-friendly show. And going to see it is an experience that your children will never forget.
