Welcome back to Our Weekend Happy. The fabulous linky that I host with the gorgeous Lisa from Mummascribbles.
I can’t quite believe it’s going to be May next week. April has only just started. Surely?
I do love May. It’s always a lovely month. There are two Bank Holiday weekends. And Little Miss H will celebrate her fifth birthday. Little Miss H and I are also attending our first family festival together. We’re going to the Elderflower Fields Festival with Auntie B. It’s very exciting. I’m looking forward to sharing our month of May with you.
As it is the last Our Weekend Happy of the month, I’m also going to be sharing with you my four favourite photographs from the #ourweekendhappy Instagram Community. If you regularly post photographs from your weekend on Instagram, then please do remember to use the hashtag #ourweekendhappy. And then Lisa and I will promise to give the photographs lots of love.
Anyway, on with the linky.
Our Weekend Happy Linky
Lisa originally created Our Weekend Happy and then I started joining in at the beginning of this year. And it is such a lovely post to write. It is all about capturing memories. And after all, isn’t that why most of us blog?!
Essentially it is a write up of all the lovely moments from the weekend. Time can pass so quickly and often you forget the fun and happiness that can be had from visiting a park or playing games with your kids. Our Weekend Happy is an opportunity to record those happy moments.
This is the place where you can share the memories of your happy weekends. And we would love you to join us.
Please ONLY link up blogs and vlogs about your weekends. You don’t have to call them Our Weekend Happy or follow the same format as Lisa and I. You can link up day in the life videos, trips, days out or more general weekend posts. But please remember that this linky is called Our Weekend Happy and the posts need to be about your weekend in some way.
We want to keep the rules pretty simple but we also want to make sure that every person who links up will benefit from joining the linky. So here we go:
1. Link one post per week
2. You can link up a blog post or a vlog but it has to be about your weekend. And we would love it if it is a happy post.
3. Please comment on both the hosts’ posts and the post directly before yours. Of course, if any other blogs or vlogs take your fancy then please give them some love. Please, can you mark your comments with #ourweekendhappy so we know that you are commenting from this linky.
4. Pop our badge on your post. You can find the HTML for this at the bottom of this post. (We’ve had a few problems with the badge not working. So I’ve changed the code. Hopefully, it will have solved the problems).
Every week, Lisa and I will be commenting on and sharing all blogs and vlogs that link up. Also, please remember to tag us on twitter and we’ll give you an RT.
The linky will be open every Wednesday at 06:00 and will close on Sunday at 23.55. So you have plenty of time to link up your happy weekend blog posts or videos.
#Ourweekendhappy Instagram community
Lisa and I have also created an Instagram community for any photos from your weekend. If you include the hashtag #ourweekendhappy then we will like and comment on all the hashtagged photos. Then at the end of every month, we’ll produce a roundup of all our favourite photos from the previous month.
As it’s the last Our Weekend Happy linky of April, it’s time to share my favourite photos from the #ourweekendhappy Instagram Community. I’m also planning to reshare them on my Instagram stories too. So if you don’t already follow me on Instagram then do pop over to take a look. You can find me at @mrs_hs_fav_things.
#ourweekendhappy Instagram Community – April 2018 Favourites
If you follow me on Instagram or read this blog regularly, then you’ll know that the seaside is my happy place. And if I can’t get to the beach then I am happiest when I’m around water. So my favourite photos from April all feature the sea or water.
The first photo that I’m featuring as an April #ourweekendhappy favourite is from Alice at Letters To My Daughter (@l2mydaughter).
The second photo from Anna at Born.Voyage (@born.voyage).
This photo is from Chelle at Sisters by the Sea (@sisters_by_the_sea).
The last of my #ourweekendhappy favourites for April comes from Gina at @andbreathe_survivingparenting. I can’t get enough of Sabrina’s Instagram feed at the moment. It is filled with the most creative and inspirational photos. The photo above is just an example. And how can you look at that photo, and not think of Mary Poppins?
We would love you to join us and start using the hashtag #ourweekendhappy. It would also be great if you could give some love to anyone else who uses the hashtag. Hopefully, we can create a lovely community of people sharing happy photos from their weekend.
And that’s it! We can’t wait to read all your happy posts and watch your videos. I’m really looking forward to sharing the happy moments from our weekend with you.
