Welcome back to Sunday Stars! Happy Sunday. I hope that you are all having a lovely weekend and that the sun is shining in your neck of the woods. We've had an exciting time since my last Sunday Stars post. It is over a week ago since we had the 20 week scan. Baby looks perfect and I am really excited. We also now know whether we are having another Little Miss H or if our family is going to…

A perfect Mother’s Day – My Captured Moment

A black and white photograph of a mother and her young daughter on a swing in the middle of a wood - with the title "A perfect Mother's Day" - Mrs H's favourite things

Last week, I celebrated my third Mother's Day. Having suffered from recurrent miscarriages, I know how blessed I am to celebrate this day at all. Having children is much harder than it looks. Not the process of child rearing (although that has its good and bad days) but the process of creating, making and baking a baby. That is why I never take my family for granted and I am so grateful that they are a part of my life. And this year's…

Surviving Pregnancy After Baby Loss

Pregnancy after Baby Loss is a time of mixed emotions. There is happiness but also great worry. Emotions are heightened. This is how I survived the anxiety of my Pregnancy after being diagnosed with Unexplained Recurrent Miscarriages. Photograph is of a rainbow after a dark storm. As my baby and the Pregnancy After My Recurrent Miscarriages where like the rainbow after the storm - Surviving Pregnancy After Baby Loss - Mrs H's favourite things

Pregnancy after baby loss is a time of mixed emotions. There’s happiness and joy. But there’s also anxiety and fear. Back in November 2015, I discovered that I was pregnant for the sixth time in 3 years. We’re lucky to have a beautiful little girl. But we’ve also experienced the pain and grief of four miscarriages. Three of the miscarriages had been while trying to have our second child. And only a few months before discovering I was pregnant I’d been diagnosed…

Our baby gender reveal

A black and white photograph of an iced vanilla cupcake sitting on a pretty floral plate _ with the title "Baking up a storm - our gender reveal video" _ Mrs H's favourite things

Having the 20 week scan on Thursday helped me relax. It was a great milestone to reach and it was wonderful to see our baby fidgeting away. I am always nervous before scans. I worry about the worst case scenario. And I sit in the waiting room sick from nerves and excitement. Thankfully, the scan went well. Baby is healthy and everything looks as it should do. And yes, we did find out the gender. Just as we did when I was pregnant…

Five under £5.00 – March 2016

A photograph of my five products each purchased for under £5.00, including Jelly Bunnies, a copy of Red Magazine, a heart shaped tin, a green bow hair clip and a rainbow belt - includes the heading "Five under £5 - March"_ Mrs H's favourite things

My gorgeous blogging friend Julia, who blogs at Rainbeaubelle, writes monthly posts called Five under £5. I love these posts. I am a very nosy person by nature. And so I am fascinated to see what my fellow bloggers have purchased for under £5.00. I often get tempted to go out and buy some of their wonderful finds. I've been meaning to join in for a while. As always I have found it hard to get myself organised. I could probably purchase…

100happydays – part one

A bright and vibrant photograph of a plant with white flowers and the title "100happydays - part one" - Mrs H's favourite things

I recently read this fabulous baby wish list from the beautiful and bloomin' stunning Heledd at Running in Lavender. In this post, she mentioned her love for Baby Wearing. Which got me thinking about how much I loved wearing Little Miss H and how I miss it now that she flatly refuses to go anywhere near a carrier. Rainbow Bean is due in July. And one of the things I am looking forward to the most is baby wearing a newborn.…

Pregnancy after miscarriage: Our first trimester

An image of a bright blue sky dotted with a few fluffy clouds and a rainbow with the title "Pregnancy after miscarriage: Our first trimester" _ Mrs H's favourite things

I am now 18 weeks pregnant. This is my sixth pregnancy. And it is my fourth pregnancy after miscarriage. It is only now, at 18 weeks pregnant that I am beginning to relax a little and enjoy the pregnancy. I know that I will not be able to stop worrying until we have our baby at home. I wish that I could say that I breezed through the first trimester. That I was ecstatic when I saw that I was pregnant and…

Sunday Stars – 14/02/2016

Sunday Stars image_blue Bokeh image with the title "Sunday Stars" _ Sunday Stars _ 08/05/2016 - Mrs H's favourite things_blog image

Welcome to this week's Sunday Stars. Happy Valentine's Day. I hope that you are all having a lovely day and that you are enjoying February. We had a very busy December and January, so it is nice to have a more chilled month. Although, as you're reading this, I am probably sitting on a train heading into London to see Sheridan Smith play Fanny Brice in Funny Girl at the Menier Chocolate Factory. I love musicals and I am going with my…
