An A to Z of Little Miss H – part one

Little Miss H is almost 32 months old. Our darling girl has been an amazing , bubbly and cheeky presence in our lives for over two and a half years. I am in shock at how quickly the time has gone. It only seems like yesterday that I was cuddling our new born baby for the first time. Little Miss H has such a unique and beautiful personality. She is a confident little girl with a huge smile. Winter muffins

A photograph of yummy Winter muffins (which include chocolate and mIncemeat) on a pretty floral plate, lying on a green, yellow and brown checked blanket - winter muffins_Mrs H's favourite things

I decided that baking some yummy winter muffins would be the perfect way to cheer myself up. Plus, Little Miss H loves baking and eating the results of her endeavours from the kitchen. These are the moments that I always want to remember. They are times I treasure. And they are photographs that always bring a smile to my…

But most are Christmas books that I have bought in previous years. Or books that we haven't looked at over the years. I love brown paper packages tied up with string. I wrap the books up in plain craft paper and use some…

Getting through November

I have to say it. I hate November. In my opinion, it is the hardest month of the year. And it is the month where I always struggle with my depression. I didn't always feel this way. As a child and a teenager I was indifferent to November. Nothing exciting happened. I spent the days waiting for December and the count down to Christmas. That all changed on Saturday, 23rd November 2002. That was the day that I made serious plans to take my life…
