Sunday Stars – 11/10/2015

Hello my lovely Sunday Stars. How are you? I hope that you are all well and have been enjoying this wonderful weather that we have been having. Little Miss H and I have been out and about exploring our new home town. We have enjoyed many wonderful walks in the woods behind our house. Next week I want to go for a walk in there and forage for some autumnal goodies. I also plan to make a batch of these yummy…

Lemon and honey fairy cakes recipe (refined sugar-free) – a guest post

Earlier this year, I decided to give up refined sugar. I had come to the conclusion that my diet was packed with sugar and this was affecting my health. I felt sluggish and bloated, I was constantly exhausted and was putting on weight. For two glorious weeks I followed the Davina's 5 weeks to sugar-free and I felt great. Then we stayed at my mum and dad's for the weekend and went out for a date night. I gorged on yummy…

Because I’m happy – the last weeks of September

A moment to treasure and remember forever. Mr H has recently added all our photographs onto Dropbox. We can now see all our photos on a timeline and it is lovely to look back at moments that I had forgotten. I came across these photos taken at a special afternoon…

Today is my birthday. I am now 37 years old. I am not entirely sure how it happened but I appear to have entered my late thirties. Three years of the big 4-0. And it actually feels good. I spent much of my twenties deeply unhappy. My thirties have been a turning point for me. I am now happier in my own skin. And although I still have days when I struggle, I know what I need to do to make myself…

Recurrent miscarriage

Miscarriage: Where do I go from here?

On Friday, I had a hysteroscopy. It was the final test that the NHS will offer us in our investigations into the recurrent miscarriages. It didn't give any answers. My miscarriages remain unexplained. It could be bad luck. It could be a chromosomal issue. We might never know. And that for me is the worst development. I know, it is ridiculous to want something to be wrong. But I wanted there to be something wrong with me so that there was a…
