When you’re going through a particularly rough patch, it’s incredibly easy to just believe that you’re alone and that it’s never going to end. Sometimes, you do even just want to be left alone. Because wallowing in your pain can feel comfortable. But, this is often the worst thing you can do. Instead, you have to try and take a step forward by spending time with those that you love the most. Surround yourself with people and positivity. Start to smile again. Feel grateful and let your loved ones bring you joy.
2. Treating Yourself
Next, you could try a good old-fashioned way of making yourself feel good. Because there’s nothing better than treating yourself to something. Whether we’re talking a new pair of shoes or a pamper evening, just doing something for yourself, with the pure aim of making yourself feel good, can work wonders. So just take some time to step back and think about what you need right now to feel uplifted.
3. Having A Cozy Night In
From here, you may find that you just need to take things slow. If you’re currently overwhelmed with life, trying to force yourself to do too much can be hard. Instead, you’re going to want to think about slowing down and having a few nights in. Get yourself some comfortable PJs, Glerups slipper, and pick a movie. Make your favourite snacks and enjoy a night in by yourself. There’s nothing that a little R&R can’t fix when it’s done properly.

Food heals. And we’re not talking about binge eating or comforting yourself with rubbish food. Instead, you want to nourish your soul with some incredible meals. When you’re not feeling your best but you want to really turn your spirits around, digging out an incredible recipe and really taking your time to cook in the present can be really joyful. And tucking into the incredible results always makes you feel good.
5. Finding Your Passion
And finally, you need to find something to throw your all into. The mind is a mysterious place and it naturally wants to self-destruct. So planning on distracting it can help. Find your passion and put your mind to good use. From reading or writing to painting or fitness, when you can find something that truly makes you happy, you’ll have a much better chance at kicking those bad days for good.
