Both my children have very sensitive and dry skin that has a tendency to look red and sore. Little Miss H often gets eczema under her armpits. So I believe it’s important that the baby care products I use on them are gentle and mild and offer complete care for their delicate skin.

Until now I’ve struggled to find a baby care range that I’m completely happy with. But thankfully, Dove has recently launched a brand new range of baby care products called Baby Dove. (You can head to their website to get more information about Baby Dove.)

When I heard that Dove had launched a baby care range I became very excited. And I was even more excited when Dove offered to send us some products from the new range to try out. I’ve always used Dove products on myself. So I had high expectations for the Baby Dove range.

Caring for my Baby with Baby Dove

Baby skin is thinner than adults which means it is more likely to lose moisture and become dry. Therefore, a baby’s skin requires more than just mild and gentle cleansing to keep it healthy and protected. And Baby Dove goes beyond just mildness to replenish essential moisture and nutrients in your baby’s skin.

I prefer my children to use skin care that is hypoallergenic and that I know will be safe for their sensitive skin. The Baby Dove range has been dermatologically tested and is pediatrically approved meaning it is safe to use every day.

The Baby Dove range

Baby Dove is available in two ranges; the Rich Moisture Range and the Sensitive Moisture Range. Each range has been designed to help tackle all of your baby’s skin care needs.

Baby Dove Rich Moisture range

The Rich Moisture range has been developed for babies with normal to dry skin. The products in this range include the Rich Moisture Bar; Head to Toe Wash; lotion; nappy cream; shampoo and wipes.

This range is scented with an especially designed fragrance called hugs and kisses. The scent has been developed for delicate baby skin. It also smells divine. And in my opinion, it actually has that newborn baby smell. Which has to be the most gorgeous smell in the world.

The range is dermatologically and paediatrically approved. This is hugely important to me as, in the past, my children have had allergic reactions to certain skin care.

Rich Moisture Bar

We were sent the Rich Moisture Bar to try out at bathtime. I’ve been using this product on Little Miss H. As I still like to use a product designed for sensitive skins on Little Mister H.

Now Little Miss H is at school we’re trying to foster independence. One of the ways we’re doing this is by encouraging her to wash herself in the bath. So it is perfect that she can hold the Rich Moisture Bar and use it herself. She also loves the fact that it is quite slippery and she calls it:

“My cheeky soap!”

Little Miss H also loves the hugs & kisses fragrance of the Rich Moisture Bar. She can find some scents very overpowering. And she’s asked me to stop using certain products before because the smell hurt her nose. But she doesn’t have any of those problems with the Baby Dove Rich Moisture Bar.

And I love the fact that the Rich Moisture Bar cleans brilliantly. It managed to remove felt tip pen and glitter from her arms after a day of art and craft at school. And after using the Rich Moisture Bar, Little Miss H is squeaky clean and sweet-smelling once more. I normally moisturise Little Miss H’s arms and legs once she is out of the bath. But having used the Rich Moisture Bar this isn’t necessary.

Sensitive Moisture Fragrance Free Head to Toe Wash

We were sent a bottle of the Sensitive Moisture Fragrance Free Head to Toe Wash to try for the purpose of this blog. And I have to say, that this is quite possibly the best baby care product we have ever used.

Little Mister H has very fine hair but in large quantities. One of Little Mister H’s favourite occupations is to smear food into his hair. This leads to regular hair washing. But I’ve always struggled to find a shampoo or baby body wash that is gentle enough to use daily AND cleans his hair thoroughly.

Hurrah for the Baby Dove Sensitive Moisture Head to Toe Wash. It’s gentle and mild so I’m happy to use it daily. Yet it also cleans perfectly and successfully removes the remnants of Little Mister H’s breakfast, lunch or dinner. Little Mister H comes out of the bath shiny and new and with that gorgeous post bath fluffiness that my baby has before bedtime.

It’s reassuring to know that Baby Dove’s Sensitive Moisture Head to Toe Wash has been formulated to be safe on Little Mister H’s delicate skin. He’s had some allergic reactions to baby care products before but I’m pleased to say that he hasn’t had any allergic reactions to the Baby Dove products. It’s lovely being able to enjoy the fun and splashing of bathtime without worrying about my son reacting to his bodywash.

Do we love the Baby Dove Baby Care Range?

Yes, we do! As you’d expect with a product from Dove, it’s amazing.

I love the fact that all the products are dermatologically tested and are perfectly safe for my children’s sensitive skin. And they are effective cleaners too. What more could you want from a baby care range? Well actually, I wish Baby Dove had created this range 4 years ago when Little Miss H was a baby.
