AD – I was sent the wing necklace by Jana Reinhardt for the purpose of this review.
When we first lost our babies, I wasn’t able to emotionally process the idea of having a memento to remember them by. Some people plant a rose or a tree in their baby’s honour. But I just couldn’t do that. I needed to move on and grieve in my own way. However, those days are past and I now want to find a way to remember our babies.
I, originally, thought of getting a tattoo. A symbol to memorialise them. But that seemed wrong and I decided against the idea. I then searched for a piece of jewellery that would be precious and mean something. Yet, I couldn’t find anything that was quite right. That is until Jana Reinhardt sent me their exquisite handmade silver wing necklace to review.
Jana Reinhardt Silver Wing Necklace
The company Jana Reinhardt was formed in 2006 by husband and wife team, Jana Reinhardt and Ross Cutting. They are award-winning goldsmiths and craft every piece of Jana Reinhardt jewellery by hand in their seaside workshop in Worthing, West Sussex. Their ethos is to bring a personal touch to every piece of jewellery that they make.
This sterling silver necklace is part of their wing collection of jewellery. The collection includes a double-wing necklace, a bangle and a variety of earrings. I particularly like the silver wing hook earrings and maybe asking for them for my birthday later this month. You can also order the wing necklace and other wing jewellery in various metals including 18ct rose gold or platinum.
I love my gorgeous sterling silver wing necklace. The necklace is beautiful and the angel wing is precious and elegant. It is the perfect way to remember my lost babies.
The chain for the wing pendant is delicate and fine, which I much prefer to chunky chains. And it comes in two different lengths – the standard 16″/ 18″ (41cm/ 46cm) or the longer 20″/ 22″ (52cm/ 57cm). I was sent the standard chain and it is the ideal length for me. But you may prefer a longer length necklace.
Thank you to Jana Reinhardt for gifting me this very special and precious necklace. And for helping me find the perfect way to remember my lost babies.
