The other day Little Miss H and I took a trip down to a play park by the river in Rochester. It is a beautiful spot called the Esplanade. Rochester castle is on one side and the Medway is on the other.
The sun was shining off the river. The weather was warmer and so coats had been removed. It felt like Winter was over and Spring was just around the corner.
After spending time on the swings and slide we headed home. We ambled slowly through the Esplanade park. Enjoying the sunshine, soaking up the Vitamin D and relishing being in the fresh air.
Little Miss H spied a patch of daffodils and ran off to explore. She skipped around the flowers squealing with delight. Occasionally, she bent down for a closer look. She studied the trumpets intently and stroked the petals. Every now and then she would turn around and smile. She just wanted to make sure I was still there.
It was a wonderful moment.
