When Mr H was born he was given a soft toy panda bear. That panda bear, known as Panda, became not only his best friend but also a member of the family. When Mr H and his family went on boating holidays on the Norfolk Broads Panda would go with them. And Mr H’s sister would make him an outfit that matched the colours of the boat they were staying on during their holiday.
When Panda was looking worn and tired, Mr H’s Mum would take him and make him a new skin. She would cut out a pattern in fabric and make it around Panda. So the original Panda stayed the same.
Because it’s what’s inside that counts.
When I first met Mr H, Panda lived in a bag in his wardrobe. This made me very sad and it wasn’t long before Panda was given a new home. A home that was fitting for a panda bear of his great age. And now, almost 40 years after Panda first entered Mr H’s life, that venerable panda bear is a fully established member of our family and is adored by both of our children.
A soft toy is a perfect present to give a baby. Because not only are you giving them something to cuddle and hold. You may also be giving them a friend for life. A toy that is still a part of their family almost forty years later.
Snuggletime Winnie the Pooh Plush Range – A Review
Posh Paws had the idea of creating a treasured companion and friend for your child when they produced the Snuggletime Winnie the Pooh Plush Range. And it is a gorgeous and completely loveable range of soft toys that your little one is bound to fall in love with. So we were thrilled when we were sent the medium size (12 inch) Snuggletime Pooh and Snuggletime Eeyore to review.
Little Mister H does like soft toys but he doesn’t have any favourite soft toys. His comforter is one of my old vest tops. But he does seem particularly taken with the Snuggletime Pooh and Eeyore. And what’s not to love?
These toys are excellent quality. They are well made and all the features are sewn on – which makes them the perfect gift for a newborn baby.
The first thing I noticed about the Snuggletime Pooh and Eeyore was just how soft they are. I don’t think I’ve ever come across a toy quite this soft. I’ve frequently found Little Mister H snuggling the Winnie the Pooh and rubbing his face against the soft fur.
The softness and design of the Snuggletime Winnie the Pooh Plush range mean that they are extremely cuddly. They are chunky and floppy and very easy for little hands to hold.
I also loved the subdued colours of these toys. There is nothing brash or bold about these cuddly characters. They are just soft and gorgeous. And they would look wonderful in any little one’s nursery.
The Snuggletime Winnie the Pooh and Snuggletime Eeyore are adorable toys. They would make the perfect birthday gift and are the ideal present for a newborn baby. And who knows your little one might still be giving their Snuggletime Winnie the Pooh a cuddle when they are in their 40s.
The full Snuggletime Winnie the Pooh Plush range is available to buy from Argos.
The Snuggletime Winnie the Pooh Plush range includes Winnie the Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore (my three favourite characters from Winnie the Pooh). And they are available in small, medium and large. We reviewed the medium Snuggletime Pooh and Snuggletime Eeyore. These are 12 inches in height and have a recommended retail price of £12.99.
Also, on 12th February UKMums.TV will be holding a Posh Paws Winnie the Pooh takeover and twitter frenzy. During the takeover there will be the opportunity to enter competitions and to get some FREE downloads.
What was the name of your favourite childhood soft toy? Do you still own them? Please let me know in the comments.
We were sent the Snuggletime Winnie the Pooh and Snuggletime Eeyore for free to review on this blog. But as always my opinions are 100% honest and all words and opinions that appear in this post are my own.
