My monthly bucket list – August 2015

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Back in March I decided to join in with the Monthly Bucket List linky hosted by the fabulous Beth at Twinderelmo. I was hoping that writing a bucket list would help me to become more organised.

Alas, dear reader, this was not to be.

I did become a little more organised. But I definitely did not reach the standards of my past.

In the words of the very wise U2:

“I still haven’t found what I’m looking for….”

So, once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more.

This month we’re moving house and I will need to finally rediscover my organisational mojo. Wish me luck.

Monthly bucket list

My Monthly bucket list – August

Moving house. We exchanged last week. We will be moving later in the month and there is so much to do beforehand. First thing is first, I need to begin the process of sorting through the flat and decluttering in preparation for packing. I am so excited about moving to Tunbridge Wells. I love Rochester and I will miss my friends terribly. But I can not wait to live in a house with more room and a garden.

Research into Tunbridge Wells. I don’t know Tunbridge Wells. I need to do some research into toddler activities, classes and play groups that we can attend. Otherwise Little Miss H and I will spend most of our days shopping and going out for lunch.

Reading. At the start of 2015, I decided to join in with Hayley from Home’s challenge #AYearinBooks2015. Well, I have failed. So far in 2015 I have only managed to read one book. Pathetic, isn’t it? I hang my head in shame. I love reading and I miss it dreadfully. So this month, I plan to make time to sit down with a good book. Do you have any recommendations?

Get healthy. I am really unhealthy at the moment. I need to make a change. I need to put my health first. I have decided to join in with Hannah at Mums’ Days and the Mums’ Days Fit Club. Over the next few days, I will be setting myself some health and fitness goals and planning how I intend to meet these goals.

Become more organised. As I have mentioned, the ability to organise my life properly is still alluding me. Quite simply, I need to stop wasting time and start ticking jobs of my to-do-list.

I know there isn’t much on my bucket list this month but August is going to be busy. It is also going to be hugely exciting and I can’t wait.

What are your plans for this month? I would love to hear about them.

This list looks good to me! With moving house you will have to be more organised to survive so I am sure at least that one will be ticked off! xx

Good Luck with the move gorgeous lady! Sadly I love packing to move, but the only way we’ll be moving after buying this house now is if we win the lottery 😉 Have a great rest of the month,

Awwww, lovely, good luck to you too. That last week waiting to exchange and get a completion date was so stressful. I was on edge the whole time. I hope that it all works out. And ask away! I have practically a notebook full of lists that I am working through. You see I am more organised already. Thanks for your lovely comment and for your fab linky. Hugs Mrs H xxxx

Good luck with the house move, it’s so exciting moving house but there is so much to do!
I hope you have a lovely August!
I always hope to get more organised and it never quite seems to happen!
I am with you on the reading – I miss the time I used to spend reading, I am trying to read 12 books this year and I am keeping my fingers crossed I can do it!

12 books… that is a brilliant goal. There was a time when I used to read 50 odd books a year. I can’t believe that ever happened. As I said in my post, this year I have only read one. Terrible. If I succeed in being more organised than maybe i’ll manage to have an early night with a good book once in a while. Thanks for your comment. Hugs Mrs H xxxx

Hello lovely. Thanks for your comment. It is so exciting about the move. I am excited and nervous in equal measure. There is just so much to do before then and with less than 2 weeks to go, I haven’t even thought about packing. Argh! Hugs Mrs H xxxx

Wow sounds like you have a busy August. Good luck with the move. You’ve done one better than me on the books. I haven’t read one this year and now I’ve found blogging I fear it could be a while before I pick up a book again! x

Thanks for your comment lovely. I really need to start our de clutter. I wrote a list of everything that I need to do before the move and it is scarily long. Maybe I just need to sit down with a cuppa, a chocolate biscuit and a good book. Then I can get on with the packing. Hugs Mrs H xxxx

Thanks for your comment lovely. I used to be so organised. But I am the same now. Fits and bursts and then nothing for weeks. It drives Mr H mad. I hope I can have an organisational burst for the move. Hugs Mrs H xxxx
