Mother’s Day is now one of my favourite days of the year. Last Mother’s Day was absolutely fantastic. I was pregnant with our longed for rainbow baby. I got to have a lie-in, breakfast in bed, a family day out and a yummy meal in the evening. And Mr H had arranged the perfect gift. A pregnancy massage at the Champney’s City Spa in Tunbridge Wells.
I believe that showing love and appreciation for the Mother in your life should happen every day of the year. But sometimes it takes Mother’s Day to make a special gesture to say thank you for everything you have done for me and I love you.
Of course, this isn’t all about the gifts but the gifts do help. So I have decided to put together my ultimate Mother’s Day wish list. These are the presents that I would love to receive on Sunday 26th March if Mr H and I were millionaires.
The ultimate Mother’s Day wish list
I was given the LOVE sweatshirt from The FMLY Store at Christmas and I adore it. I am wearing it as I type this. So I desperately want another sweatshirt from The FMLY Store. And this MAMA supersoft sweatshirt in Navy would fit the bill perfectly. Plus, £10.00 from the sale of this sweatshirt goes to the charity Mothers 2 Mothers. The perfect Mother’s Day present in more ways than one.
I still need to wear teething necklaces as Little Miss H loves to grab. This necklace from The FMLY Store is really cute. And of course, I have to own this rainbow version. It was made for me.
This beautiful top from Joules would be the perfect start towards injecting more colour back into my wardrobe (I’ve been inspired by the colourful costumes of La La Land). And every woman needs a classic striped top in their Spring/ Summer wardrobe. And this one is made extra special by the addition of the gorgeous yellow and blue floral border.
I had to include these amazing pumps. They are blue and covered in glitter. I NEED them in my life.
Since becoming a mum my go-to handbag is a cross body bag. They allow me to push a buggy and hold Little Miss H’s hand without worrying that my bag is constantly slipping off my shoulder. This bag by Radley is one of the most gorgeous cross body bags that I have seen. It is smart, stylish and roomy and the green colour is completely lush.
I have always wanted a chunky watch. And I fell in love with this gorgeous watch from Kate Spade New York as soon as I saw it on the website.
I have a very modest aim to read 12 books this year. And when the lovely Emily from Emily and Indiana recommended the Giovanna Fletcher book I knew that I had to add it to my to-read list.
I have been spending more time in the garden recently. Mostly weeding and moving some plants around. Our garden does need a complete redesign. But in the meantime I still want to make it pretty and hanging baskets are a great way to do this. These hanging planters from Flying Tiger are cool and a bargain at £3.00. You can also get a slightly larger version for £4.00. Instant garden makeover!
9. MOTO Joni jeans in true blue from Topshop – £36.00
I currently own one pair of jeans. They are maternity jeans and have begun to rip at the knees and bottom. (Oops). So I desperately need a new pair. Ever since my lovely friend Katy from What Katy Said raved about the Topshop Joni jeans they have been top of my wish list.
What girl doesn’t want to open up one of those iconic turquoise boxes from Tiffany’s? And if I were to open up one of those boxes and find this beauty inside then I would be a very happy lady.
11. Skin nourishing milk bath from Elemis – £43.00
My favourite pampering treat is to have a hot bath with a glass of wine and a good book. So I am constantly on the hunt for divine bath products. This nourishing milk bath from Elemis is meant to be the most luxurious bath product out there.
This hexagonal storage shelf would look super cute on the walls of our bedroom. They would be a stylish home for the knick-knacks that I don’t want Little Miss H getting her grubby paws on.
I think I have been pretty restrained in this Mother’s Day wish list. There are no £20,000 diamond necklaces. I didn’t mention Fabergé eggs or monster trucks.
A three week holiday to Seychelles or a week in a spa would go down a treat. But I would be equally happy with a handmade card and a kiss and a cuddle from my two little people.
What would be on your ultimate Mother’s Day wish list?
