How did you spend your May Day Bank Holiday? I spent it going through boxes and boxes of baby clothes. Tiny outfits that our little girl and boy wore when they were younger. The first sleepsuit that we dressed them in when they were born. The outfit they wore when we brought them home. The dungarees they were wearing when they met their grandparents. The party outfits that we bought for their Welcome to the World celebrations. Looking through these…

I’m delighted to announce that we’ve recently been chosen to be part of the Bigjigs Play Patrol. Bigjigs is a brand that I have loved and admired for a long time. I always prefer, where possible, to support and buy from brands that have been founded in the UK and have been built on strong ethical roots. Bigjigs was started in 1985 by Peter and Liz Ireland. Peter and Liz are still Directors of the company and have now been joined by…
Welcome back to the blog series My Rainbow Baby. I created My Rainbow Baby in the wish that it will give hope to anyone who has experienced baby loss or is struggling to have a longed for baby. To show that even after the darkest storm a rainbow can appear. Little Miss H and Little Mister H are not the only rainbow babies. There are many of them. And I want to share the beautiful and poignant tales of these special little rainbows.…
Back in February the toy gift service Wicked Uncle challenged us to use their website to find the perfect baby gift for Little Mister H. We enthusiastically accepted. Poor Little Mister H doesn’t actually have that many books or toys as they often get commandeered by his older sister. And she isn’t overly happy with him playing with the baby toys that used to be hers either. As a result, I am always excited when I get the opportunity to get…
Dear Little Miss and Little Mister H One of my greatest fears is that you will never know how much I love you. That you won’t understand that I feel truly blessed to have you in my life. You and your Daddy are my world. My life. You are my favourite of all my favourite things. Sometimes I am sad, or tired, or grumpy. I might snap at you or raise my voice. I may be doing jobs when you wish I…

Our little boy is eight months old. He is growing up too quickly. Months pass in the blink of an eye. And the newborn days seem far behind us. Even at eight months old, Little Mister H seems to be approaching toddlerdom at a rate of knots. I wouldn’t be surprised if he starts walking before he is a year old. But in the meantime I am treasuring every moment with our precious little munchkin. And he is such a joy to be with.…
Welcome back to my blog series, My Rainbow Baby. I am so sorry that I was not able to share a post last month. I was taking some time off from blogging to focus on myself and my family. I have created this blog series in the wish that it will give hope to anyone who has experienced baby loss or is struggling to have a longed for baby. To show that even after the darkest storm a rainbow can appear.…
