This is my fifth week joining in with the gorgeous Heledd over at Running in Lavender and her linky, My Captured Moment. The idea is simply to share photographs that have captured a special moment in my life. A moment to treasure and remember forever.
My Captured Moment – Due date
This photo was taken on Little Miss H’s due date. We were convinced that she would be early. We were certainly surprised that she still hadn’t made an appearance by this time.
The main benefit of her non-arrival was that we could attend one of Rochester’s annual festivals. What better way to spend your baby’s due date then to watch morris dancing and amble along the water’s edge.
Little did we know that 2 days later Little Miss H would arrive within 4 hours of my first contraction.
Did your baby make an appearance on their due date?
Hugs
Mrs H

February 25, 2015 at 10:21 amWhat a gorgeous photo. You look so lovely with your bump!
My 1st was born at 41 weeks exactly and number 2 was born at 37+2 as she was dinky.
So pleased you had a lovely time at your due date festival. Rochester is such a lovely place!
Thanks for sharing such a lovely photo with us x

March 1, 2015 at 8:01 pmThanks for your lovely comment. Rochester is a great place and we had a wonderful day watching morris dancers and wondering in the sun. It definitely took my mind off the fact that it was my due date. Hugs Mrs H xxxx
You Baby Me Mummy
February 12, 2015 at 9:33 pmLove this picture! Sounds like a wonderful due date. Baby was born on her due date, but only because she was induced the day before xxxx

March 1, 2015 at 8:02 pmOh honey, I hope you didn’t have a horrid time. I have heard such horror stories about being induced. Thanks for your kind words about the photograph. Hugs Mrs H xxxx

February 11, 2015 at 3:34 pmAww, what a gorgeous photo, I looked like a whale just before I had O. 4 hours, thats amazing, mine was 4 days and still ended up with an emergency section. Lazy boy, didn’t want to come out! xx

March 1, 2015 at 8:04 pmOh you poor thing. I realise I was very lucky with 4 hours. I was a bit in shock when I got to hospital and they told me that I was fully dilated. I was convinced that I was still in early labour and I just wasn’t coping. And I am sure that you looked beautiful with O. Thanks for your kind comment. Hugs Mrs H xxxx

February 9, 2015 at 8:21 pmI don’t blame you for getting out and about and having fun. I bet it was a nice distraction, particularly an annual event such as that, very relaxing. I was 9 days overdue with both my girls. Luckily it was glorious weather so I could make the most of the beach and long walks, whilst waiting.

February 11, 2015 at 2:14 pmThanks for your comment. It was a lovely day. It is weird walking around knowing that you could go into labour at any moment but you have no idea when. So it was good to take my mind of things. 9 days overdue – wow! I’m glad that you were able to enjoy the beach during that time. Hugs Mrs H xxxx

February 9, 2015 at 12:07 amOh my goodness, you were at a festival on your due date! That’s super impressive, I was at home feeling very sorry for myself. Lili was 11days late and Poppy was a day late (so not too bad).
Lucy, you looked beautiful with your lovely bump.
Thank you so much for linking up to #MyCapturedMoment xx

February 11, 2015 at 2:24 pmThanks for your lovely comment gorgeous. Thanks for saying that I looked good with my bump – I certainly felt like a fat blob at this point. It was a lovely day though and it was nice to spend time just the two of us before we became a family of three. Hugs Mrs H xxxx

February 8, 2015 at 10:41 pmGreat photo and well done for being out of the house when you could have popped at any time! Baby L was 2.5 weeks early and that came as a big surprise!

February 11, 2015 at 2:32 pmThanks for your comment. 2.5 weeks early. Wow! I am sure that was a shock. Did you have things ready? I don’t think I would have been at all ready for Little Miss H if she’d come that early. Hugs Mrs H xxxx

February 8, 2015 at 4:03 pmYou look so neat at 9 months! My eldest arrived 2 days before due – encouraged by indications he was getting lazy and my youngest arrived 2 weeks early (thank goodness as he had managed to dislocate one of my ribs as he grew in size!).
Mrs H
February 11, 2015 at 2:48 pmThanks for your lovely comment. I didn’t feel like I was neat but thank you anyway. A dislocated rib… ouch! That must have been really painful. I am sure you were happy when he was born a little early. Hugs Mrs H xxxx

Tin Box Traveller
February 6, 2015 at 9:06 pmI had booked a hair cut on Tin Box Tot’s due date – I really didn’t want to sit around waiting. Watching Morris Dancing sounds like more fun thought! She was four days overdue in the end and I had just cleared my diary of things to do. I think she knew 🙂 #MyCapturedMoment
