Welcome to the very first post in the My rainbow baby blog series. I have created this series in the wish that it will give hope to anyone who has experienced baby loss. Little Miss H and Little Mister H are not the only rainbow babies. There are many of them. And I want to share the beautiful and poignant tales of these special rainbow babies. I am inviting others to tell these stories. To talk about these precious children in their own…
newborn baby
"A rainbow baby is a baby that is born following a miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death or infant loss. In the real world, a beautiful and bright rainbow follows a storm and gives hope of things getting better. The rainbow is more appreciated having just experienced the storm in comparison." Quotation taken from the Kicks Count website. Four years ago, I had never heard of the term rainbow baby. Now in October 2016, we have two beautiful rainbow babies. And they brighten…
Little Mister H’s rainbow themed nursery – a tour and vlog
Posted on September 3, 2016Well hello and welcome to the first "Mrs H's 10 favourite things" post. I have been meaning to start writing these posts for a while now. I often discover fabulous Netflix programmes, a gorgeous new lipstick, a beautiful dress for Little Miss H or a cute babygrow for Little Mister H. And I have nowhere to rave about them. That is why I am starting this monthly post. This month I am being a little sneaky and including some pregnancy items from May…
Little Mister H is one month old. It is hard to believe that our sweet boy has been in our lives for only one month. I can't remember what life was like before Little Mister H was part of our family. Starting at the very beginning with Little…
A Heart Full Of Love – The Siblings Project – July 2016

She would also boss her baby brother or sister about. Demanding that they play with her. Telling them which character they were playing in her imaginary games. Probably a Disney Princess or a My Little Pony. She would read them stories, show them how to paint and teach…
On Sunday, 10th July I was 38 weeks and three days pregnant. Although I still had 11 days until my due date I was beginning to wonder if Little Mister H was ever going to arrive. Over the weeks my anxiety levels had grown. And I could not see the pregnancy ending happily. And that weekend, I had begun to talk to Mr H about asking my midwife for a stretch and sweep. I was worried about how apprehensive I was beginning to…
Last weekend, I began to feel that Little Mister H might make an early appearance. And I panicked! I hadn't written a birth plan and my hospital bags weren't packed. Spurred on by the thought of Little Mister H arriving into chaos I packed my bags and wrote my plan. And I feel much happier knowing that I'm ready for Little Mister H's arrival (well, as ready as I will ever be).…
